Flora Revitialization

DSC04958 How nice to visit our lovely little Flora and watch her being restored to herself and even better.  It was a beautiful day to see the yard looking so clean and tidy, much work being done inside and out, and the promise of much more to be completed in the next 2 weeks.  Hopefully, someone special will want to take over her care.  Then I can pass the baton and start on other projects that need my attention. Simplyfying my life and getting rid of stuff for starters would be good.

Champaign Update

The deadbeats are GONE for good I hope.  The neighbors (Alice & friends!) kept me posted over the weekend of the arrival of a U-Haul and assorted trips with it.  At the end of it all they were gone by Sunday.  Of course, the garage was left open and all lights on.

Howard took the day off and went with me on Tuesday to change the locks and face whatever was there.  The sheriff was to meet us there at 11:00 am.  We arrived a little early and went in to find the heat pushed up to 90 degrees (so mature) and a real mess but no major damage.  Soon after one of the realtors, I had called but did not know, arrived in work clothes and with work gloves in hand and immediately pitched in and started cleaning out the *&%#@ --literally.  He spent the day helping and found a hauler to come and carry out the crap( I'm borrowing that word from Manda since it fits).  The sheriff came and said this is typical and these types rarely get caught or pay the piper so.....

Once again I'm amazed at what several really good men can accomplish.  Howard worked like a trojan and so did Chris (the realtor). The house is completely cleaned out, locks changed , and I've had a contractor over to give an estimate on the work that needs to be done to sell it.  As I've always found, people in the Champaign area are so helpful.

Thank you so much for your good wishes and prayers.  I hope they will continue.  I go back on Sunday to clean and then meet more contractors on Monday, go to court again, etc.  Please pray for a very quick sale and that I can break even.  I  am bleeding $ as we speak.  God is teaching me something once again as I meet so many nice people and see so many others suffering in much worse circumstances.  Let's see among other things--there is no security in this world,  there are some really bad people but just as many really good ones that I already know --, Howard, thank you, I'm still healthy, live in a very nice house, have a job, friends and a grand family.  Wow, much to thank and praise God for today.
